THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — President Donald J. Trump is expected to attend the New York Yankees game on Thursday as they face the Detroit Tigers, according to a social media post by the baseball team.

“Pregame ceremonies will recognize the victims and heroes of 9/11,” read the post.

Enhanced security measures will be in place, and certain items will be prohibited, according to a note to fans planning on attending the game.

Ticketed guests are strongly urged to arrive early if possible and should allow extra time for entry as enhanced security measures will be in place at the game, officials said.

Thursday marks the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed when the hijackers crashed jetliners into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in southwest Pennsylvania during the Sept. 11 attacks. More than 2,700 of those victims perished in the fiery collapse of the trade center’s twin towers.
