(NewsNation) — A man alleging to be Jay-Z’s long-lost son has withdrawn his paternity lawsuit against the rapper.

Rymir Satterthwaite took to Instagram on Sunday, confirming reports that he dropped his case against the rap mogul, but that he hasn’t stopped his “fight” to prove that Jay-Z is his biological father.

“I did withdraw my case; it’s for a reason, y’all,” Satterthwaite said in a video. “It’s not (because) I’m stopping with it or not going to refile it. There’s a lot going on behind closed doors.”

He hints that celebrities, lawyers and judges have used tactics to slow the case down and to “change the narrative” and has said that there hasn’t been a DNA test or a settlement.

Satterthwaite has claimed that the “444” rapper had a relationship with his late mother in the early 1990s, according to HotNewHipHop.

Jay-Z denies paternity claims

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has denied his claims and has called the now-withdrawn lawsuit “just the latest” in Satterthwaite’s “decades-long harassment” against him, according to Radar.

According to court documents obtained by Radar, Jay-Z said, “The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and (Satterthwaite’s) continued harassment of (Jay-Z) and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order.”

Satterthwaite has previously said that his legal fight against the rapper is about prioritizing justice, according to Blast.
