(NewsNation) — You might recognize Trisha Paytas from nearly two decades of YouTube content, podcasts or even Season 20 of “Celebrity Big Brother UK” — but the internet personality‘s children are what’s driving recent headlines.

Or, more specifically, the celebrity deaths that have coincided with the babies’ birthdays, known online as the “Trisha Paytas baby curse.”

Most recently, internet jokesters have correlated Paytas’ third child — Aquaman, born Tuesday — with the same-day death of Black Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne

Trisha Paytas baby curse theory, explained

The absurd theory dates back to “Barbenheimer” times.

Paytas’ first child, a girl named Malibu Barbie, was born within the week of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September 2022. People on social media immediately linked the two events, calling the newborn a reincarnation of the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

The correlation has carried on for Paytas’ two subsequent pregnancies, with users on social media predicting who will die each time a new baby is announced by Paytas and husband Moses Hacmon.

While Paytas’ second child, Elvis, was not born around the same time as a major celebrity death, posts have still found a way to link the May 2024 birth with the April 2025 passing of Pope Francis.

Paytas, who is nonbinary, addressed the speculation during an April 22 episode of their “Just Trish” podcast.

“Is it just like any influential person that dies gets to come reincarnate as my baby?” they asked. “I don’t understand why my womb is carrying all these souls.”

Upon Osbourne’s passing at age 76, the internet once again exploded with posts about Paytas’ pregnancies.

As of Wednesday morning, “Trisha” and “Trisha Paytas baby theory” were among the top trending searches on both X and Google, alongside “Ozzy Osbourne.”
