(NewsNation) — The CEO of a health care center in Idaho was found dead in Baltimore earlier this month, according to People magazine.

Nicholas Manning was on a business trip in the area when he died June 6. Officers responded to a possible overdose and found Manning’s body inside a Marriott hotel. Baltimore police said Manning had no signs of trauma to his body.

“The victim’s remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death,” the department said.

Manning’s family does not believe his death was accidental and is seeking a homicide investigation.

“We possess direct and credible evidence that confirms Nicholas Manning was the victim of fraud and homicide,” the family said in a statement. “Nicholas was a respected health care executive, a brilliant mind and a cherished member of our family. He deserves dignity, transparency, and above all, justice.”

The Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office acknowledged that autopsy results could take up to 60 to 90 days.

Manning was the CEO of HCA Healthcare’s West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho.

He joined the organization in 2004.
