(NewsNation) — Celebrity chef Anne Burrell, who passed away Tuesday, is thought to have suffered cardiac arrest, according to People.com.

Burrell, 55, was found unresponsive by authorities who rushed to her home in Brooklyn, New York.

According to a call report from the New York City Fire Department, a person called just before 8 a.m., concerned about Burrell’s well-being.

While the report did not list Burrell’s name, the address provided matched Burrell’s address.

“Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,” Burrell’s family said in a statement. “Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”

The official cause of Burrell’s death has not yet been confirmed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Burrell is known for starring in “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef,” “Iron Chef America, “Chef Wanted,” “Worst Cooks in America,” and “Beat Bobby Flay.”

She also made appearances on “Chopped,” “Food Network Star” and “House of Knives.”
