(NewsNation) — Jason Isaacs revealed during his Vulture interview on Monday that he and his costars on “The White Lotus” earn $40,000 per episode.
Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff in the third season of the HBO series, said, “I didn’t know that was public knowledge. That’s absolutely true. Generally, actors don’t talk about pay in public because it’s ridiculously disproportionate to what we do — putting on makeup and funny voices — and just upsets the public.”
But he did say that, compared to other popular TV series, “that’s a very low price. But the fact is, we would have paid to be in it. We probably would have given a body part.”
White Lotus star Jason Isaacs: ‘I never work for money’
Isaacs was also asked during his interview if he was bothered that other actors who have less experience were paid the same as him.
“I never work for money,” he told Vulture. “I mean, I’ve done all right. People will think I have huge stockpiles of money, but sadly, what I’ve done rather immaturely is expand my outgoings to match my incomings and pretty much spent everything I’ve earned over the years.”

It had initially been revealed in April by producer David Bernad and casting director Meredith Tucker that all cast members on “The White Lotus” were paid the same.
Bernad had told The Hollywood Reporter, “They get paid the same, and we do alphabetical billing, so you’re getting people who want to do the project for the right reasons, not to quote ‘The Bachelor.'” He also said that all cast members are “treated the same on ‘The White Lotus.'”
Tucker said, “You tell people what it is. And some won’t do it — and honestly, you can’t hold it against people who need to make a living. Our series regulars are pretty much doing this for scale.”
It is unknown when season four of “The White Lotus” will be released. However, despite rumors, NewsNation’s Paula Froelich did confirm that the season will likely be filmed in the south of France at Hotel du Cap-Ferrat.
