(NewsNation) — Alex Cooper has created a million-dollar empire since she started her podcast, “Call Her Daddy,” ending up on Forbes’ Top Creators list in 2024. With everything she has created and produced, what is the podcast host’s net worth?
Cooper launched the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in 2018 with her former roommate, Sofia Franklyn. It was originally part of the company Barstool Sports, but Cooper went solo in 2021 after she received a $60 million deal with Spotify.
Since that deal, she has interviewed individuals like Hailey Bieber, Kamala Harris and Miley Cyrus.
The Los Angeles Times reported in June 2022 that Cooper’s annual salary was $20 million, which would reportedly make her the highest-paid female podcaster on Spotify. Her current net worth is unknown, but Forbes did note in their Top Creators list that she brought in at least $22 million from her ventures in 2024.
Alex Cooper’s deal with SiriusXM
The Hollywood Reporter said that the agreement between Spotify and Cooper was the second-biggest podcast deal at the time. Then, in August 2024, she signed a $125 million three-year deal with SiriusXM for her podcast and The Unwell Network, which she launched with her husband, Matt Kaplan, in 2023.
Their company is home to several podcasts, including Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” podcast.
Cooper told Forbes at the time of the SiriusXM deal, “The brand had only grown since being at Spotify. I knew the money would be there. The deal was more about what other things people can give ‘Call Her Daddy’ and Unwell that will help us grow.”
Cooper also sells branded clothing to her fanbase, called the “Daddy Gang,” with Forbes claiming she sold $800,000 worth in the first three days of the merch’s release in November 2020.
Alex Cooper’s brand deals, partnerships
Cooper has allegedly signed partnerships with Kim Kardashian for her shapewear line Skims and Jimmy Choo, among other brands. Last year, Cooper partnered with Peacock to be NBC’s host at the Paris Olympic Games with a series called “Watch with Alex Cooper.”
With her company, she also landed a deal with the National Women’s Soccer League for the Drink Unwell beverage line.
Cooper has also turned down deals in the past. During an episode of “Boyfriend Material,” Cooper told Jowsey that she turned down an $8 million brand deal because she didn’t “stand by it.”
“I just like didn’t believe in putting my face next to it… I think it’s important to say no… because then you just lose your f—— credibility,” she said.
Alex Cooper says she didn’t start podcast for money: Report
In 2024, Cooper told The Hollywood Reporter that she didn’t start her podcast for the money.
“Don’t get me wrong, it is life-changing. You want to make money off the product that you’re spending so much time on,” she said of her SiriusXM deal. “But I started making content when I was 5 years old. I wasn’t hoping for a paycheck. I just wanted my friends to feel something from the videos I was showing them.”
CNBC reported that Cooper bought a house for her parents at the end of 2024 after signing the deal with SiriusXM. During a “Call Her Daddy” episode in December, she talked about how much it meant to her to be able to do that.
“I literally wouldn’t be here without them,” she said. “Buying them a house is like the least I could f—— do, because they sacrificed financially, emotionally. They sacrificed with my other siblings in moments for me.”
Her rise to fame was recently told in a two-part docuseries on Hulu named “Call Her Alex.”
