(NewsNation) — Tom Felton, one of the original actors from the “Harry Potter” film franchise, is reprising his role as Draco Malfoy on Broadway.

The Broadway production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will debut on Broadway in November for 19 weeks. Felton announced his casting as the villain on “TODAY” and called it a unique opportunity to return to the role.

“It’s very much a pinch-me situation,” Felton said. “I keep thinking I’m dreaming. I let go of that character 16 years ago, and now I get to step back into his shoes, as a father this time in a new story.”

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” takes place 19 years after the events of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” where the children of Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco all attend Hogwarts.

The show debuts at the Lyric Theatre in New York City on November 11.
