(WGN) — Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 1 million vehicles in the United States due to a software issue preventing rearview cameras on a variety of models from displaying images, which could increase the risk of a driver crashing their vehicle, according to Reuters.

The recall involves 17 different Ford model vehicles, including:

  • Bronco (2021-24)
  • F-150 (2021-24)
  • Edge (2021-24)
  • Escape (2023-24)
  • Corsair (2023-24)
  • F-250 (2023-24)
  • F-350 (2023-24)
  • F-450 (2023-24)
  • F-550 (2023-24)
  • F-600 (2023-24)
  • Expedition (2022-24)

  • Mustang Mach-E (2021-23)
  • Lincoln Nautilus
  • Ranger (2024)

  • Navigator (2022-24)

According to the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the software issue may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze or not display.

Ford said it is aware of one allegation of a minor crash resulting in property damage tied to the issue.
