Disney announces Abu Dhabi theme park

(NewsNation) — A seventh Disney theme park is on its way, the company announced Wednesday morning.

Disney is partnering with Miral, a local company, to bring a resort to Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates. Disney says the resort will be accessible to a third of the world’s population via a flight of four hours or less.

The announcement did not include a projected completion date.

Miral will operate the park, according to the announcement. Miral also operates theme parks for Ferrari, Warner Brothers and Sea World in Abu Dhabi.
