FBI: Alleged Tren de Aragua members among 31 arrested in Louisiana

(KTAL/KMSS) – More than two dozen people are in ICE detention after immigration enforcement operations across Louisiana.

The FBI New Orleans and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel arrested 31 individuals through operations directed by Executive Order and the United States Attorney General between April 14 and 18, 2025. The arrests were made in Shreveport, Lafayette, New Iberia, St. Mary Parish, Crowley, Covington, Gretna, Harvey, and Kenner.

An FBI news release said three of the people arrested in the Greater New Orleans area included three suspected members of Tren de Aragua or TdA, a transnational criminal organization based in Venezuela.

All detainees were taken into custody without incident or threat to the public and are in custody of ICE awaiting further processing.
