LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The family of a hotel guest at the Trump International Hotel filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the resort claiming she died from injuries after she was thrown from a revolving door on the property.
It took place in March 2023, when the lawsuit claimed Diana Truschke, 78, was “violently ejected” from the property’s front revolving door as she attempted to exit the hotel.
“The revolving door sped up and struck Ms. Truschke from behind,” the lawsuit claimed.
The incident caused her to be thrown several feet, ultimately falling to the sidewalk on her face, according to the lawsuit.
“Due to complications from injuries” sustained on March 21, 2023, Truschke died on Oct. 14, 2024, as “a natural consequence of the negligence of the hotel property, according to the lawsuit.
Truschke’s lawsuit also claimed that hotel employees should have known and informed guests that the revolving door at the entrance was not working properly before the incident occurred.
The lawsuit stated that Truschke had “extensive medical treatment” but that her health ultimately “continued to deteriorate.”
The family of the Truschke is asking for $15,000 in damages, which is the state minimum.
