(NewsNation) — Authorities are searching for a 2-year-old boy in Oregon who was reported missing Saturday afternoon.
Dane Paulsen was reported missing from his family’s Siletz, Oregon, home around 4:25 p.m. He had been playing in the yard out of his parents’ sight.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office launched a search of the property and surrounding areas using foot searchers and drones with thermal imaging equipment.
Search for missing 2-year-old continues Sunday
The search continued Sunday with dogs and watercraft at the nearby Siletz River. Around 300 people were involved in the search, which had covered 382 areas and 283 miles as of Sunday evening.
A vehicle seen near the home was found and is no longer a point of interest, according to the sheriff’s office.
The office said an Amber Alert was not issued because the case doesn’t meet the criteria and that there is no evidence so far suggesting criminal actions.

The sheriff’s office described the toddler as friendly and fearless, comfortable around strangers and water, but unable to swim.
