SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A woman is facing Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon charges after she allegedly beat another woman with a Crown Royal bottle.
Shreveport police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Prentiss Street on Oct. 8 around 2:00 p.m. Once on the scene, authorities found a woman who was bleeding from her head.
Police allege that Ellen Southall, 59, unexpectedly struck a victim with a whiskey bottle, causing a laceration, after arguing with her for several minutes.
The victim is recovering from her injuries.
SPD asks for victims of domestic violence to contact authorities when disputes escalate.
