NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) helped children of fallen soldiers have some fun on Percy Priest Lake Tuesday.

The TWRA, in collaboration with the Percy Priest Hybrid & Striper Club, took children from A Soldier’s Child Foundation and fished at Elm Hill Marina. Todd Flannery, a veteran and part of the club himself, was proud to be a part of a peaceful day on the water.

“It means a lot to have an organization do this for kids of fallen soldiers,” Flannery said. “I’ve known some and served with some and everything else. It means a lot to me to be a part of this.”

This event has taken place for the past eight years.
